James Cannon, Ph.D., Monash University, is Lecturer and Coordinator of French Studies at La Trobe University. He has published the monograph The Paris "Zone" A Cultural History, 1840-1944 (2015). His research focuses on the history of marginal spaces in and around Paris.

Luigi Gussago, Ph.D., La Trobe University, is Lecturer in French at that university. He has published the monograph Picaresque Fiction Today: The Trickster in Contemporary Anglophone and Italian Literature (2016) and co-edited (with Prof. Pina Palma) A Century of Italian War Narratives: Voices from the Sidelines (2023). His research interests include comparative literature, semiotics and ecocriticism.
