The most visited monument in Spain generates a large number of publications every year, most of them guides or essays, but what should travelers know when they walk through its doors? Did you know that the Alhambra was on the verge of ruin in the 19th century? Would you like to know why they say it is the only monument that speaks? Is it true that the Palace of Charles V was used as a bullring? How many fires did it suffer? Is it true that it was used as a warehouse? Which legendary Spanish king was conceived in the Alhambra? This is a fun and concise guide, aimed at understanding the monument in all its cultural, artistic, and literary dimensions. In these pages you will not find unnecessary Latin phrases or cultisms, only curiosities, essential for completing an authentic Alhambra adventure. Carolina Molina, author of more than twelve novels set entirely or partially in the city of Granada, has compiled some of the most striking curiosities gathered during her many years of research in this guide. A work aimed at all audiences, even those who have not yet visited the Alhambra in Granada.
