Set during the short, dark days of a Michigan winter in the mid '90's, the story takes us into the mind of Dr. Ivan Weiss, a gifted, but troubled, psychoanalyst. Weiss' life is disintegrating. The story ranges from the quiet of a psychoanalytic consulting room in Ann Arbor to the south of France to a police chase in the devastated areas of downtown Detroit, many years before its recent rebirth. It is about the present and the secrets from the past.
