Goat reproduction via artificial insemination (AI) offers health, genetic, and economic benefits for goat farms specializing in milk and meat production. This study was initiated to demonstrate the importance of using ultrasound in monitoring AI services in goats. From the selection stage to pregnancy diagnosis at 60 days post-insemination, four ultrasounds were performed per goat. Two ultrasounds were conducted prior to artificial insemination: one at selection and another on day 13, the day the sponges were inserted. After artificial insemination, two additional ultrasounds were performed: an early scan at 40 days post-insemination, followed by a confirmatory scan at 60 days. In this way, ultrasound made it possible to identify pregnant goats prior to the synchronization procedure-goats that might have aborted following hormonal treatment. The use of real-time ultrasound allows us to identify females that are not pregnant and to decide on the appropriate management strategy for them.
