    Buch (Taschenbuch)

"I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve."

King managed to write a beautiful, nostalgic, wholesome, comforting, silly but deep coming of age novel, which I enjoyed a lot. The boy’s relationships and the portrayal of their dynamic is everything I wanted. You can practically feel the hot sun shining, smell the sweat and feel the excitement of the boys through the book. King managed to put the feeling of growing up, with all the sadness, awkwardness, happiness and confusion into words. "There were games and endless bolted meals, lawns to mow, places to run to, walls to pitch pennies against, people to clap you on the back. And now I sit here trying to look through an IBM keyboard and see that time, trying to recall the best and worst of that green and brown summer, and I can almost feel the skinny, scabbed boy still buried in this advancing body and hear those sounds.“ Anyways can we please all just stay kids forever and only worry about being late to the treehouse hangout? (also someone said this is like little women for boys and I can’t stop thinking about it)
