A novel by Marvel Moreno.
>Through Lina's obsession with remembering her past, this masterful novel transforms the anecdotes of a life into an absolute vision of the world, a profound panorama of Barranquilla society in the late 1960s. From personal memory to historical reality, the structure of this book possesses both precision and poetry, with the detached insight of a narrator who immortalizes from afar the events that took place in this city so close to the sea. Maintaining a clear distance from her contemporaries of the Latin American literary Boom, Marvel Moreno breaks with the female figures of the mythical universe and narrates a reality that ranges from the private lives of Barranquilla's residents to the condition of humanity as a whole. The Breezes Arrived in December contains multiple voices that weave around the contradictions of the female world, in a narrative universe that combats both the constraints of a bourgeois and traditional life and its forms of representation.
