The Palgrave Handbook of Humanities Podcasting

Kim Adams is an independent scholar. She co-hosts the podcast High Theory with Saronik Bosu, and is a co-founder of the Humanities Podcast Network, where she has served on several working groups, including those for the annual symposium and educational workshops. Her research examines how technology and literature have shaped medical science, education, and practice. Her book Breeding the Body Electric argues that electric medical devices changed how Americans thought and wrote about race and reproduction from the Civil War to the Civil Rights Era.

Saronik Bosu is an Assistant Professor in the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences at Baruch College. He co-hosts the High Theory podcast with Kim Adams, and is a co-founder of the Humanities Podcast Network. He has coordinated several academic organizations, including the Postcolonial Anthropocene Research Network, which he co-founded. His research focuses on literature and economic thought in modern India. He also makes and curates art.

Beth Kramer is a Master Lecturer in the Rhetoric Department at Boston University. She researches and teaches courses with an interdisciplinary focus, and is currently studying new ways to integrate multimodal learning into composition courses. She has co-edited an issue of Impact interdisciplinary journal devoted to podcasting and her chapter on multimodal peer review appeared in the collection Revisiting Peer Review: Critical Reflections on a Pedagogical Practice. She is a founding member of the Humanities Podcast Network and serves as chair of the pedagogy working group, as well as editor and contributor to the HPN publication Teaching Students to Podcast. 

Milan Terlunen is Researcher in Digital Humanities at the University of Sussex, where he is investigating what books were missing from the libraries of Victorian Britain as part of the Promiscuous Print research project. As a scholar of literature, he is also completing a book on the history of the plot twist. While a PhD student at Columbia University he co-created and hosted two podcasts – How To Read and In Sacred Spaces – co-founded the Humanities Podcast Network (HPN) in 2021 and co-organized three years of HPN’s symposia.
