Sanskrit Grammar is a complete system of analyzing and understanding all the parts of language and sentence construction. Words are commonly of two types, namely Verbs and Nouns. Sanskrit being an inflectional language, contains the prepositional sense of each word within the spelling of the word itself. This is quite interesting, because it means that any word can have more than one spelling, depending upon its meaning in any sentence. for e.g. the Verb "to go" in English has the spellings "goes" and "go" in Present Tense to specify singular and plural usage. Similarly its equivalent Sanskrit Verb from Dhatu-982-gam-gatau has a matrix of 9 possible spellings to take care of singular, dual, plural (3) and third person, second person and first person (x3), in Present Tense alone. ¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ lä Present Tense Active Voice ¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿ ¿¿¿¿¿ Panini collected all the Adverbs, Adjectives, Nouns, Participles, Conjunctions, Suffixes and Verbs in one handy basket. Then he arranged them so that to the ONE who was imaginative, the LETTERS would fall in place to highlight neat Forms and Shapes. And he did all of that from 14 juicy apples or SOUNDS! What you now hold in your hands is an inquiry into the ABC of Sanskrit. It is a bold attempt to put all of the delectable fruit in one easy to carry casket. This book is written with a vision to make Grammar accessible to the English speaking audience in a way that complements and builds upon the Reading and Writing skills. Using normal classroom flowcharts and modern trends in education, it makes learning fun. Abstruse concepts like Karaka and Samasa, Dhatu and Upasarga are laid threadbare and made usable. This book makes Vyakarana a charm since it does not assume prior knowledge on the part of the reader. Using simple and easy to grasp contemporary English terminology and profuse examples, the entire gamut of grammar is covered. Thus it is also an exciting read for anyone studying English Grammar as well.
