Danny Meets Grace
The Stolen Pen and the Stolen Memories
Danny only means to take one small thing.
At a busy book signing, he spots a beautiful golden pen resting beside the author's books. Nobody seems to be watching, and the whisper tells him that one little pen will never be missed.
But this is not an ordinary pen.
It has travelled to schools, hospitals and bookshops. It has signed books for children who were frightened, grieving or searching for hope. Every scratch along its golden surface carries a memory-and now those memories have disappeared with Danny.
As guilt follows him home and the whisper urges him to hide what he has done, Danny meets Grace, who helps him understand that telling the truth may be difficult-but one wrong choice does not have to become the end of his story.
Because stolen things can be returned.
Broken trust can begin to heal.
And Grace is always waiting when we are brave enough to turn back.
A gentle and funny Journey Juniors story about stealing, honesty, guilt and the courage to make things right.
