In 1373, gravely ill and expecting to die, a young woman of Norwich received sixteen "shewings" of the love of God - and lived to spend the rest of her days walled into a cell beside a church, pondering what she had seen. She became the first woman to write a book in the English language, and out of that hidden place came the most hopeful sentence in English devotion: all shall be well. All Shall Be Well keeps Julian's sixteen Revelations as a sixteen-day retreat. Each day sets her own medieval words beside a short reflection for today, a line to carry, a question to sit with, and a prayer. Full-color plates carry the reader through the Passion and the love that Julian saw at its heart. This edition includes: ¿ Julian's sixteen Revelations of Divine Love, in Grace Warrack's public-domain English, arranged as a sixteen-day retreat ¿ For each day: her showing, a reflection for today, a word to carry, a question, and a prayer ¿ A treasury of prayers to keep, and pages for your own showings ¿ Full-color plates - original Sanctified Souls paintings with public-domain illuminations - and an original cover Jessica Huber arranges and edits the great spiritual writings of the Catholic tradition into guided devotionals and structured retreats for Sanctified Souls Press.
