""A Critical Account of the Drawings by Michel Angelo and Raffaello in the University Galleries, Oxford"" is a book written by John Charles Robinson in 1870. The book provides a detailed analysis of the drawings by two of the greatest Italian artists, Michelangelo and Raphael, which are housed in the University Galleries at Oxford. Robinson, who was a curator at the South Kensington Museum in London, provides an expert critique of the drawings, discussing their style, technique, and significance in the context of the artists' wider oeuvre. He also considers the historical and cultural context in which the drawings were produced, providing insights into the artistic and intellectual milieu of Renaissance Italy. The book includes reproductions of many of the drawings, allowing readers to appreciate their beauty and complexity. This work is a must-read for art historians, students of Renaissance art, and anyone interested in the works of Michelangelo and Raphael.""This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
