The Narrative of Sojourner Truth is an autobiographical account of the life of Sojourner Truth, an African-American woman who was born into slavery in the late 18th century. The book chronicles her life from childhood to adulthood, including her experiences as a slave, her escape to freedom, and her work as an abolitionist and women's rights activist.Sojourner Truth's story is a powerful one, filled with hardship, struggle, and triumph. She was born into slavery in New York, and was sold several times before finally escaping to freedom in 1827. After her escape, she became involved in the abolitionist movement, speaking out against slavery and advocating for the rights of African Americans. In addition to her work as an abolitionist, Sojourner Truth also became a prominent voice in the women's rights movement. She gave speeches and wrote articles advocating for women's suffrage and equal rights, and her famous ""Ain't I a Woman?"" speech is still widely quoted and celebrated today.Throughout her life, Sojourner Truth faced many challenges and obstacles, but she remained committed to her beliefs and her mission. The Narrative of Sojourner Truth is a powerful testament to her courage, resilience, and unwavering dedication to justice and equality.Note: This version was dictated by Sojourner Truth; and edited by Olive Gilbert. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
