Miss Theodosia's Heartstrings is a novel by Annie Hamilton Donnell. The book tells the story of Theodosia, a young woman who lives in a small town in the United States during the early 20th century. Theodosia is a talented musician who plays the piano with great skill and passion. She has always dreamed of studying music in Europe, but her parents are against the idea and want her to marry a wealthy man from their community. As Theodosia struggles to balance her love for music with her family's expectations, she meets a handsome and charming man named David. David is also a musician and shares Theodosia's passion for music. The two quickly fall in love, but their relationship is threatened by Theodosia's parents, who disapprove of David's lack of wealth and status. As Theodosia and David navigate the challenges of their relationship, they also face other obstacles, including a jealous rival, a family tragedy, and the outbreak of World War I. Through it all, Theodosia must follow her heart and stay true to her love of music, even if it means defying her parents and risking everything she holds dear.Miss Theodosia's Heartstrings is a touching and romantic novel that explores the power of love, music, and following one's dreams. It is a timeless story that will resonate with readers of all ages and backgrounds.""I'm having a beautiful time; I don't know whether you are or not. But I'm going to send you back to that love story. I hope the Recording Angel will give me a white mark for it, or cross out a black one. The goodness of me! I've been sitting here trying to strangle my conscience, but you see it isn't my own--it's my grandmother's conscience; you have to respect your grandmother's conscience. You'll have to go.""This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
