A Window In Thrums is a novel written by J.M. Barrie, the author of Peter Pan. The book is set in the small Scottish town of Thrums and follows the daily lives of its residents. The main character is a young woman named Babbie, who is a free-spirited and independent thinker. She becomes the object of affection for several men in the town, including a local minister and a wealthy landowner. The novel explores themes of love, family, community, and social class. Barrie's writing style is descriptive and captures the charm and simplicity of small-town life in Scotland. The book was first published in 1889 and is considered one of Barrie's most successful works outside of his famous Peter Pan stories. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
