Old Norse Stories is a collection of tales from the mythology and folklore of the Vikings, compiled and retold by Sarah Powers Bradish. Originally published in 1900, the book features stories of gods and goddesses, heroes and monsters, and epic battles and quests. The tales include well-known legends such as the creation of the world, the adventures of Thor and Loki, and the death of Balder, as well as lesser-known stories of giants and dwarves, magical objects, and shape-shifting animals. Bradish's retellings are accessible and engaging, making these ancient tales accessible to modern readers. The book also includes illustrations by Frederick Richardson, adding to the visual appeal of the stories. Old Norse Stories is a must-read for anyone interested in Norse mythology and the legends of the Vikings. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
