""The Evolution of Decorative Art"" is a scholarly essay written by Henry Balfour in 1893. The book explores the origins and development of decorative art as it has been practiced by various modern races of mankind. Balfour examines the ways in which different cultures have used decoration to express their artistic and cultural identities, and how these artistic traditions have evolved over time. The book is richly illustrated with examples of decorative art from around the world, including pottery, textiles, jewelry, and other forms of material culture. Balfour's writing is both informative and engaging, making this book an excellent resource for anyone interested in the history of art and design. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
