Lover Avenged Black Dagger Brotherhood v.7

In diesem Buch geht es nun um die Geschichte des faszinierenden Rehvenge, seines Zeichens Drogenbaron und Zuhälter. Um seinem verhassten Sympath-Anteil keine Nahrung zu geben, hat er sich in einen Käfig aus Geld und Medikamenten gesperrt – doch die fürsorgliche Krankenschwester Ehlena will nicht zulassen, dass er sich ins Verderben stürzt... Es ist einfach klasse, wie J. R. Ward immer noch neue Handlungsstränge einbaut und die bestehenden weiterspinnt. In Lover Avenged bietet sie eine tolle Mischung aus knallharter Action, prickelnder Liebe und einer interessanten Handlung. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, das nächste Buch zu lesen!

Nachdem viele Leser wohl nicht ganz so zufrieden mit dem Vorgänger Lover Enshrined waren (kann ich nicht verstehen, gefiel mir auch sehr gut), dürften sie mit dem Teil der BlackDagger-Serie wieder etwas glücklicher sein. Die eigentliche Geschichte zwischen Rehvenge und Ehlena kommt nicht zu kurz und die Nebenhandlungen sind auch mehr als spannend. Ein super Buch in einer super Reihe!!! Ich warte schon ganz gespannt auf den nächsten BlackDagger *hibbelhibbel*.

Rehvenge, half-vampire, half-sympath, drug dealer, pimp and club owner, has led a harsh life trying to protect himself and his family from the fact that others know about his sympath heritage. So when he meets and falls in love with Ehlena, he isn't happy because he sees the noblewoman who has fallen on hard times as far above him and he doesn't want to drag her into his own dirty world. But a plot to kill the king of vampires, Wrath, and the jealousy of a sympath princess when she finds out about Ehlena, bring about a situation in which it's up to Ehlena and Rehvenge's friends, family, and the Black Dagger Brotherhood to save him. At the same time, the vampire hunters now led by Lash, the son of the Omega, are taking over the drug trade in town and keep killing any vampire they find. John and Rehvenge's assistant / bouncer Shex give in to their mutual attraction but hurt each other in the process. And the vampire king, Wrath, is confronted with the fact that his eyesight, which has always been weak, may be lost completely... This is part 7 of the series and closely connected to the other parts. You should start with 'Dark Lover' if you are interested in this very well-written vampire series. This novel has a romantic element, as the others did, but it's only part of the book. There are 4 important storylines (Rehvenge and Ehlena, John and Shex, Lash and the Lessers, Wrath's health problems), so the story of the Black Dagger Brotherhood as a whole is continued, as opposed to offering a new couple with some more Lesser-action or something like that. It took a bit of getting used to, but I think this is an excellent book. The only thing that I didn't like so much was a bit too much 'cool' language, no matter who was speaking / thinking. Apart from that, this series is among the best vampire-novels on the market today and I would definitely recommend it.
