""A Gallery of Distinguished English and American Female Poets"" is a collection of poems written by notable female poets of the 19th century. The book was compiled and edited by Henry Coppee and was first published in 1880. The collection features works from poets such as Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Emily Dickinson, Christina Rossetti, and many others. The poems cover a wide range of themes, including love, nature, spirituality, and social issues. The book provides a glimpse into the literary achievements of female poets during a time when women's voices were often marginalized in the literary world. The introduction by Coppee provides context for the collection and highlights the importance of recognizing the contributions of female poets. Overall, ""A Gallery of Distinguished English and American Female Poets"" is a valuable resource for anyone interested in poetry, women's history, and the cultural landscape of the 19th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
