On the twentieth anniversary of the unsolved murder of hip-hop icon The Notorious B.I.G. (aka Christopher Wallace), legendary New York city DJ and hip hop staple, Funkmaster Flex offers a definitive inside look at the tragic life and death one of the most influential and enduring rappers of all time.
On March 9, 1997, legendary rap star Notorious B.I.G. was shot four times in a Los Angeles drive-by shooting. An hour later at the age of twenty-four, he was dead. While his murder remains unsolved, fellow hip-hop icon Funkmaster Flex now offers an exclusive and authentic account of the tragedy through personal knowledge, with an exploration of the various conspiracy theories that have long pointed fingers at everyone from fellow music men Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight to street gangs to the LAPD. Killing Biggie is also a groundbreaking look at the events leading up to the musician’s untimely death, as well as the complicated aftermath of the investigation and his inspirational legacy.
