In der Perspektive einer Innerweltlichen Hermeneutik rückt das menschliche Lernen ins Zentrum einer Bezugnahme auf die biblische Überlieferung. Der Mensch ist danach angesichts der Dialektik von Geheimnis und Gebot Gottes in seinem Lebenslauf herausgefordert, sich selbst im eigenen Denken und Handeln verstehen und ertragen zu lernen. Angesichts der unfassbaren Vielfalt und Zufälligkeit innerweltlicher Bezüge entsteht in der heutigen Situation "etsi deus non daretur" die Frage: Wie bekomme ich ein gnädiges Selbst? In Aufnahme einer liberal-protestantischen Hermeneutik in Verbindung mit einer theologischen Religionskritik reformierter Prägung werden in drei Zugängen Möglichkeiten der Verständigung des Menschen mit sich selbst thematisiert: als Hermeneutik des Lernens, als Überwindung der zwischen Menschen stehenden Differenzen und als Schutz der zwischen Menschen zu wahrenden Grenzen.

In the perspective of an inner-worldly hermeneutics human learning comes into the focus of a reference to Biblical tradition. According to this, man is, in the light of a dialectic of mystery and God's command, challenged to understand himself in thinking and acting and to learn to endure himself. Confronted with the unfathomable diversity and contingency of inner-worldly relations the question arises in the present situation, "etsi deus non daretur": How do I get a merciful self? In taking up a liberal-Protestant hermeneutics in association with a theological criticism of religion of reformed character, three approaches address the possibilities of a self-agreement of human beings: as a hermeneutics of learning, as an overcoming of the differences between individuals, and as a protection of necessary boundaries between humans.
