Iron Flame DISCOVER THE GLOBAL PHENOMENON THAT EVERYONE CAN'T STOP TALKING ABOUT!

I already love the first book in this series and the second one is as good as it can get as well. Loved how the story changes and how the characters develop over time. I feel like it was inspired from stories like Harry potter, game of thrones and eragon- but at the same time it's something entirely new. Loved it!

Konnte nicht abwarten und musste nach Fourth Wings sofort dieses Buch lesen. Obwohl vor allem das erste Viertel ziemlich schleppend voranging und ein wenig an Teeniestreiterein erinnerte, hat Iron Flame die Erwartungen erfüllt. Durch unerwartete Wandlungen in den Erzählungen bleibt der Lesespaß konstant hoch. Habe lange keine Reihe mehr gelesen die wirklich so fesselt. Der Aufbau der Geschichte lässt hoffen, dass auch die folgenden Bücher spannend bleiben.

Though, I felt it dragged a bit in parts due to repetition. I’m relieved the whole squad is alive; another death would have crushed me! Now, I’m anxious about diving into Onyx Storm…

Das Buch ist ansich richtig gut, aber man sollte darauf achten das man die richtige Sprache auswählt. Ich habe mir nämlich das Buch auf Englisch gekauft und nicht auf Deutsch... Alles in allem aber ein richtig gutes Buch.

After absolutely loving Fourth Wing, Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros quickly became one of my most anticipated and awaited releases and this book is quite the ride. This is a spoiler-free review and please don’t go ahead and spoil the story for others anywhere.   I listened to the audio book again and it was such an enjoyable experience. However, that was more forced because to this day I still don’t have a US hardcover on my shelf. The distribution and printing quality for this release has been a hot mess and I hope this is fixed for the next release. Once I do have a hardcover, I can’t wait to physically reread this series.   The plot of this book is so action packed, and I feel like in every chapter something new happened. While this made me fly through this installment, it also prevented the characters from having a second to themselves and to be able to catch a short break. This would have been great for Violet and Xaden and especially their relationship because it was often characterized by distance and miscommunication. However, it definitely improved in the second half of the book and one of my favorite scenes between them was the throne scene.   The dragons in this book were stunning yet again and I really liked to learn more about them and their culture with the development of Andarna. And you also see more of different creatures which was super exciting. The new characters also added some drama and excitement to the plot. I have so many theories for the rest of the story and can’t wait to see how everything pans out.   While I overall liked Fourth Wing way more, Iron Flame is still a good book, and the end just destroyed me. I’m so terrified and excited to continue this story.
