The Reappearance of Rachel Price

This YA thriller kept me on edge of my seat!

Holly Jackson just got a new fan. I was not able to put this book down at all and devoured it in 2 days. I loved how she was able to build up such a tension in Bels house and every time I thought Bel close to solving this whole thing, something else happens! Some things might have been forseeable but I didn’t mind at all, because the characters and especially the dynamic between Bel and Ash was just so much fun to read. The ending might have been a little crazy though, it felt a bit too much. But I still loved it! I’ll go now and read Holly Jacksons other books.

I liked the book. The beginning was good, but it dragged on and on like chewing gum. And the end, on the other hand, was more of a hit after hit and you almost didn't want to put the book down. I would have liked to have had this pace from the beginning and not just towards the end. What I still don't quite understand is how they could so easily decide in favour of this ending. How they could send someone away so easily and lie so brazenly to her face. Somehow the three of them have to be able to live with the whole thing and in order to come to terms with something like this, they'll probably need a good therapist and lots of therapy sessions within a year at the latest. But I really liked Bel as the main character and her and Ash would make a cute couple, I can see that ;) I loved A Good Girls Guide To Murder and I'm not sure whether there will be a book by Holly Jackson in the near future that can hold a candle to this trilogy, but Rachel's story also deserves a solid 4.0 stars.
