Love it

Bewertungsnummer: 2098235

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

One of the best book I have ever read! It‘s really thrilling and so spicy. Can‘t say anything bad about it, I absolutely love it and would recommend it to everyone who loves SPICE.

Es war okay

Bewertungsnummer: 2002825

Bewertet: eBook (ePUB)

Mystery meets Romance

Bewertet: Buch (Taschenbuch)

Do you know those blueberries, that are kinda mushy but still kinda taste good? But in the end, they are still mushy? Yes, yes, I’m a picky eater. For me, sometimes it’s more important for what food feels like than taste like. What this have in common with this book? Not a lot, but uff, I did not like the feel of it. So, this book is about a teacher that goes on holidays with her brother and they essentially encounter a dead person in their AirBnB. Which probably isn’t great. Anyways, the owners sister has a boyfriend and said boyfriend has a friend who is a detective turned bounty hunter. They get this man, Myles btw, to investigate the case. And the teacher, Taylor, thinks he’s hot. Which I don’t really get, because the first description we get for Myles? Apparently, he could be homeless. Buuuut… he’s 6’5. So it’s fine. And she’s so here for it. And he thinks he has to stay away because Taylor is a girl you have to marry, not to have a one night stand with. And she wants dudes to be more rough with her in the bedroom, which she thinks he will provide. At one point he compares himself to a tractor and her to a dandelion. Which made me think of Ice Age. Anyways, to sum it up, the first part of the book ? Just cringe. And like… the book is 300 pages long and there are 4 smut scenes within 200 of them. And it’s just kinda insta-love, which I really don’t like. And apparently Myles has some trauma from a case which in the end kinda deflates and it’s really non-existent. The case wasn’t that great either, but the book was kinda fun to read. But the worst thing about this? Every scene (smut-scene) is written in his pov. Every single one. Like, now I really know what it would feel like to have sex as a dude, because it has practically been written down on my forhead. Which I do not appreciate. But yes, thiis pretty much summs up the whole book. Normally, I really enjoy Tessa Bailey’s books, but this was disappointing. But as I said, in the end ? I was not really mad at the book. It’s just meh.
