The Year of the Locust A Thriller

First off, if you haven't read I Am Pilgrim, stop everything and order it immediately! (Spoilers ahead.) This book offers a fantastic blend of what we loved in I Am Pilgrim while introducing a fresh twist—Terry Hayes weaves in elements of fantasy and sci-fi. It’s just as gripping, just as much of a page-turner (if that’s even a word). Imagine a retired, being brought back in agent going head-to-head with a villainous terrorist, while dealing with body transformations caused by space stones affecting his system. There’s time travel, a touch of love and family, and those moments where you can truly see yourself in certain situations. I could go on forever. Note: As a die-hard I Am Pilgrim fan, I had to adjust to the sci-fi elements in The Year of the Locust. It took me longer to finish because I struggled with the new direction, but ultimately, I loved it. It’s an incredible book. Terry Hayes, please write more!
