Aus einer inter- und transmedialen Perspektive geht dieser Band den verschiedenen semantischen Ordnungsprozessen nach, die in der künstlerischen Auseinandersetzung mit dem Dreissigjährigen Krieg während des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts stattfinden, indem ihr jeweiliger Deutungsrahmen rekonstruiert wird. Die Beiträge versuchen dabei als Ganzes einen Bogen zwischen der Vielzahl an Vereinnahmungen und ihren spezifischen künstlerischen Modalitäten zu spannen. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf deutschsprachigen Werken, es wird jedoch auch der europäische Rahmen berücksichtigt.
In an inter- and transmedial perspective, this volume attempts to trace the various semantic ordering processes that take place in the artistic treatment of the Thirty Years' War during the 20th and 21st centuries by reconstructing their respective interpretive frameworks. The contributions as a whole attempt to draw a bow between the multitude of appropriations and their specific artistic modalities. Although the focus is on German-language works, the European context is also taken into account.
