Located at the interface between historical didactics and regional history, analog and digital examples from schools, archives, libraries, museums, portals and scientific collections illustrate the significant tension between familiarity and the need for identification and rootedness in the local on the one hand and the gesture of critical, distanced questioning in the field of historical education on the other.
