Dogmatics is constantly faced with the task of explaining what the fundamental process of Christian religiosity is all about under the current conditions of understanding and discussion. Matthias Petzoldt is one of the theologians who has repeatedly addressed this fundamental theological question in the course of his work. By focusing on trust, or more precisely trust in Christ, he recognizes the essence of Christian faith and the starting point of Protestant dogmatics. This anthology discusses his approach in an ecumenical orientation: in order to reflect on theology in contexts of religious pluralization - in which the language of dogmatics is not (or no longer) self-evident and must be constantly retranslated.
