Guided by the supernatural intuitions of the young Jancsi Star-a child who functions as a literal cosmic compass-the crew navigates through a series of increasingly bizarre encounters: The Rescue of "French Jóska": A boarding mission to a derelict French freighter results in the rescue of a legionnaire-turned-cook and a brutal battle with three-headed space lizards. The Guardian of the Gate: As they reach the event horizon, a mysterious entity named Sándor appears, demanding philosophical answers and a specific "scone baked in embers" before allowing the ship to pass.
