Portrait

Dr. Vivek Kumar is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of South Florida, specializing in the study of the human microbiome, epigenetic mechanisms, and neurodegeneration. His research focuses on multi-omics integration to identify biomarkers for cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease, utilizing advanced statistical modeling and machine learning for host-microbe interaction analysis through saliva-based diagnostics. Previously, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at AIIMS Patna, contributing to translational cancer research on epigenetic dysregulation of microRNAs in triple-negative breast cancer. He earned his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, India, with a focus on epigenetics and non-coding RNAs in ovarian cancer. His expertise includes microbiome profiling, methylation analysis, miRNA quantification, and systems biology approaches. Dr. Kumar has extensive experience with molecular techniques and bioinformatics tools, and he has published numerous peer-reviewed articles. He also serves as a reviewer for leading journals in oncology, bioinformatics, and molecular diagnostics.

Dr. Rohit Shukla holds a Ph.D. from Jaypee University of Information Technology, India, and is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of South Florida. His research focuses on metagenomics and multi-omics studies of microbiome-host interactions related to Alzheimer’s disease, exploring biomarkers and therapeutic targets through genome sequencing, taxonomic profiling, and microbial causal inference. He also works in transcriptomics, miRNA analysis, single-cell, and epigenetics. His Ph.D. research involved annotating hypothetical proteins, identifying biomarker genes using machine learning, and in silico drug target discovery. Skilled in tools like QIIME2, Kraken2, and Galaxy, he is developing diagnostic biomarkers and saliva-based early detection assays for Alzheimer’s. Rohit has published extensively and reviews for reputable journals. With a multidisciplinary background, he aims to advance precision diagnostics and therapeutic strategies through systems biology and integrative omics approaches.

Dr. Amit Chaudhary is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, working on deorphanizing G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). His research interests include genomics, structural bioinformatics, and biophysics. Previously, he was a postdoctoral fellow at IIT Bombay in the Polymer Simulation and Characterization Lab. He earned his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology, Allahabad, and holds an M.Tech. in Bioinformatics from IIIT Allahabad, as well as a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the United Institute of Pharmacy, Allahabad. His expertise spans transcriptomics, molecular modeling, docking, molecular dynamics, phylogenetics, and protein-gene interaction analysis. Dr. Chaudhary's work focuses on functional and pathway analysis of proteins and genes, aiming to advance understanding in molecular biology and computational biochemistry.
