THE SINS OF SÉVERAC BABLON
It starts with a daring robbery at Julius Rohscheimer's. A room full of the wealthiest elite of London are relieved of their jewels by a group of identical men holding deadly revolvers. Their masked leader is polite but firm. This room of millionaires is notoriously tight-fisted with its wealth, and the robbery-the first of many-is intended to force a bit of philanthropy on them. Afterwards, Tom Sheard of the Gleaner is contacted by a mysterious man calling himself Séverac Bablon, who reveals his plan to force these rich capitalists to spread their wealth around by whatever means necessary. Rohscheimer and his cronies don't plan to go down without a fight, but how do you thwart a man who seems to be everywhere-and nowhere-at once!
THE EXPLOITS OF CAPTAIN O'HAGAN
Captain Bernard O'Hagan is a man easy to misjudge, and monstrously difficult to appreciate. He carries himself with all the chivalry and panache of D'Artagnan, but suffers fools not a bit. And as far as O'Hagan is concerned, the world is all too full of them. In these six exploits the monocled O'Hagan comes to the aid of many a young lady, rescuing them from unscrupulous businessmen, ill-matched relationships and unrepentant cads. By his own admission Captain O'Hagan is the very devil of a fellow, as those on the receiving end of his wrath know all too well.
