A Good Girl's Guide to Murder

I love murder mysteries. When they take place in small towns like in this book AND have interesting characters, I am sold. This was such a fun read, the main character was so clever and I adore her name. The other characters in the book were also well written and it was intriguing to find out the truth together with Pippa and Ravi. This being her debut novel, the author did a fantastic job. Even though its a young adult thriller, I was still very much invested and will definitely check out the other books in the series. For fans of (the first 2 seasons of) Riverdale , Gone Girl and One Of Us Is Lying

I've picked this book up in 2020 and read it then for the first time. I've heard about it first (at least I think so) from a booktuber, but I can't remember which one it was. The first time, I've read it in one or two days. At that time, I wasn't a fan of mystery and crime, but I really enjoyed this one. One year later and I read it again, because I was getting ready to read the sequels and I still loved it. The story is about a girl from a small town whose senior project is about a murder that happened 5 years ago. Apparently, a really bright young student kidnapped and killed his girlfriend. They were known to always fight and break up, so the police thought that he did it in a fight. Two days later, they found his body in the woods, apparently an overdose. And his girlfriend was never found. Now, five years later, the maincharacter, Pippa, tries to uncover what happened, because she was never convinced, that the boyfriend did it. And she gets his younger brother to help her with the case. After that, the plot really starts to pick up and tbh, the ending surprised me, because I did not see it coming. The book is written in a mixture of interviews and normal storytelling, which I really enjoy, because it feels like a podcast. I really recommend it, especially if you haven't read mystery before.
