wow

What a great book! I am not sure what I was expecting from it, but it wasn't this greatness! The amount of times I was left with goosebumps and a fast heartbeat...I find it clever how the author created a comparison to political themes in the past. And the ending.. wow.

Marvellous.

Absolutely beautiful way of showing politics in a book which seems like a fairytale. All the little details that refer to Soviet Union (the horn and a hoof like a hammer and a sickle). I read this book outloud for my mother and translated it to her (we are from Ukraine) and she told me that many things that are mentioned in 1984 were real in the Soviet Union. I can't even imagine how horrible it was.

You need to read this classic adaptation

perfectly written and beautifully designed. It's really good to read and the illustrations are in a watercolour design. I really enjoyed it and would buy it again! recommended!!! :)

Absolutely beautiful edition and great read

I read through this book in a day. It's super short but shows how the masses are susceptible to one small manipulations at a time through the abstract animal characters. I'd definitely recommended this book to everyone!

Frighteningly modern!

There is a reason that some books stick around forever and others (like Obamas musings) fade into obscurity. They all share the same characteristic - timelessness. This work is as relevant today as it was in the 1940's. Its a scathing portrayal of human nature and stupidity, using great visual references, that are easy to grasp even for the less imaginative. A must read for EVERYONE!
