You might love this book or you might hate it.
I loved it. I didnt mind the self pity of the MC. Yeah it's not the most original book ever - I dont think that's what it's trying to be though?
I was going through a rough patch when I read this and to me this book was holding my hand saying "it's going to be okay."
Cheesy? Yes.
Needed? Absolutely.
If you however never have wallowed in self pity, regretted all the decisions you made and overthought the chances you didnt take....don't read this. You will hate it.

Mega

made me think
The book captivated me from the first pages and made me think quiet a bit about life. It has become my comfort book and I can really only recommend reading it from the bottom of my heart. The chapters are nice and short and the English is easy for non-English readers too.

“What if?”
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig is a gripping, thought-provoking novel that captivates readers from the first page to the last. It masterfully explores one of life’s most fundamental questions: “What if?” Through the journey of Nora Seed, who finds herself in a library where every book represents a different version of her life based on choices she could have made, Haig invites us to reflect on the profound impact of even the smallest decisions. What makes this book truly stand out is its ability to bring complex philosophical ideas into a relatable narrative.
It highlights how our lives can be shaped by seemingly minor decisions, creating a delicate balance between different possible outcomes.
Haig’s storytelling is full of unexpected twists and turns, making it impossible to put down. The novel not only entertains but also encourages deep introspection, prompting readers to question their own choices and the potential paths not taken. With its compelling narrative and powerful message, The Midnight Library is a must-read for anyone interested in the intersection of life, regret, and possibility. I recommend this novel to all who seek inspiration and thought-provoking reflection on the nature of existence. Enjoy, Michèle

What if...?
What if you never took that job? What if you had moved away? What if you had said something else that day?
All these what ifs are only waiting for Nora in the midnight library. All these what ifs could mean a completely different life.
And what if you, yes you, read this book?
