    Educating and entertaining

I stumbled upon this book via the YouTube channel of the Mad ahh MapMan and knew I had to read to it. While geography wasn't my strong suit in school at all I've been drawn to phyical maps for quite a long time and the history of map making fascinates me. "This Way Up" offers insights into the wrongdoings of map makers and map distributors and the consequences of them. If you've always wondered why some borders are so weird and straight or why Europe is so conveniently placed in the center of many maps - this book is for you.
